The Tilting Sky is book one of the sci-fi trilogy, December Skies and is still very much a work in progress. The title is a working title and may well change. Book one is vaguely written in my head and I have the ending. The hard part is of course transferring it from my head to screen but the plot is this: Jevon and Jago Finn are brothers. They are also part alien. Thier human mother was just one of a number of women taken from earth many years before and used for breeding purposes. Now, their planet is ailing and the aliens, the Nefari want to invade earth. Jevon, influenced by his peaceful mother arrives on earth one snowy December morning in the Cornish village of Rosemeadow in order to try and warn people but his brother Jago, who is not so sympathetic is not far behind. Meanwhile, on earth, Izzy Hammond and her best friends, Piper Morgan and Niam Scott are living their normal and mundane lives. One day, Izzy recieves a call from her mother whom she hasn't had contact with since she left home seven years before. Her mother is worried as Izzy's sister Ellie has gone missing and she wants Izzy to come home to help look for her. Izzy and the others leave London and head for Cornwall to help look for Ellie and for Izzy to lay rest her inner demons from a traumatic incident years before which left her blind in one eye. Once in Rosemeadow, their home village, the trio hunt for Ellie without much success but soon come to realise that there is much more going on in the place than a missing girl. They become embroiled in a decades old fight between the alien brothers; one fighting to save humans, the other wanting to please his father and suppress them but they both have one thing in common; they both fall for Izzy and amongst the battle to avert the Nefari, who are on their way in massive ships to earth, Piper and Niam must help save Izzy before she is caught up in the jealous and dangerous rivalry that began long ago on another planet.Book two will deal with the invasion and the love affair triangle between Jevon, Jago and Izzy among other things and book three, well, book three is a little undecided but I have the ending in my head if nothing else.
